The Frog Sprinkler: Pretty in Pink

February 7, 2013

Here it is, the result of the Frog Sprinkler makeover vote! He is certainly looking a little bit rosier than the last time we saw him.  No tripping hazards with him painted this colour, that's for sure...

This DIY job was easy - a good scrub, 2 coats of spray primer, followed by 2 coats of Dulux's Pink Flamingo spray paint. I then did 1 coat of gloss top coat but I don't think it made any difference to the glossiness to be honest. I'm curious to see how long and well the finish on the sprinkler lasts with it being outside even though the spray paint is marked for exterior use.

I know a giant pink frog sprinkler isn't everyone's cup of tea but a little bit of quirkiness in the garden never hurt anyone ;)

  2. Love it! Looks great with the blue grey behind it too. I think having a giant frog sprinkler is quirky anyway, may as well own it with some hot pink. mel x

    1. Thanks, Katja! I'm not sure he's that happy. He looks like he is just tolerating things really, doesn't he?

  8. Top job Nat.
I do have a concern though. I think this is more of a toad rather than a frog. Maybe another poll is in order?

    1. Nobody likes a picky commenter, Gerry ;) Toad is such an ugly word! Toad he may be, but frog he shall be named! I'll set him on you next time you visit if you persist with toad!
