Now this sprinkler was destined to be donated because it was missing the attachment that made the water sprinkle across the lawn. Then, because we spend so much time Bunnings, I came across replacement parts for sprinklers and now the sprinkler is functioning once again (thanks to a $2.50 full circle sprinkler thingy). He's not that pretty but he is kinda cool. So here is where you can help - I plan on giving the sprinkler a makeover but I'm not sure what colour to go with - do I just keep the sprinkler as is and give him a good scrub and polish or do I go for something really different like gold? As you know I'm not afraid to wield a spray can so am happy to paint him. Let me know your choice by voting via the little poll on the right-hand side (above 'Behind the Scenes') - voting closes in 5 days so have your say!

He's alright for something I found hidden under a tree isn't he?
Deletecan't decide on the colour, white, green or pink would look great :)
ReplyDeleteI voted for white. I think I am the only one LOL. Gold is good too. I can see that is the favorite so far :)
ReplyDeleteI actually thought white would be more popular!
DeleteI think it's cool!
ReplyDeleteYou don't come across a frog sprinkler every day - that's for sure!
This is very true - I've never seen any kind of sprinkler other than a regular one so this was a surprise for sure ;)
DeleteOh gosh its kind of hidious but in a lovable kind of way! I just remembered years ago I bought my Mum one of those sprinklers but it was a turtle :)
ReplyDeleteIt has to stay - its full of personality and I actually quite like it just as it is, kind of blends into the grass a bit ...
I agree there is something slightly creepy about him, especially head on!
DeleteDO NOT LEAVE IT LIKE IT IS.... ewwwww. I live in QLD, and it looks like a dirty, big cane toad. Hideous... It looks positively evil!
ReplyDeleteMaybe with a good spray paint :)
LOL! I'm hoping a coat of paint or 2 will help pretty him up a bit!
DeleteWhat a cute little leftover house warming gift.. I've never seen a ceramic sprinkler thingy like it!. Gold sounds very cool, I'm partial to a bit of pink as well so that may be my vote... wouldn't it be great if they made a can of gold spray that had that bright metallic Gold Leaf look to it without the price tag? I would buy cans by the crate!. xx Tina
ReplyDeleteYes, that would be awesome! In the meantime I'll have to make do with the can of gold I have (should that be the winning colour of course!)
DeleteI agree with sweetness, he does look like a toad - the kind you run over! I think gold. If he's white, he will look dirty very quick. Have you given him a name yet? Lisa xo
ReplyDeleteNo name yet, maybe I should have another poll?!
